“Sketchy Lab Jr” is specifically for kids that love to draw; suited to kids with vivid imaginations that love to sit and draw for extended periods of time.
Confidence building is the focus of Sketchy Lab Jr.
Whilst they will be learning similar things to their older peers in the senior Sketchy Lab class. It's important to be aware that at this age; there will be some skills that will take time to grow (especially for under 10s).
This class is about fostering a love of drawing whilst building skill and growing confidence. Students will be exposed to various age and developmentally appropriate drawing/illustration methods, styles, tips and tricks including comic/manga/chibi.
We help them find their own unique drawing style. They will learn how to use professional illustration inks, pens and markers and apply those skills to fantastic drawing centric projects and applications, including stencil art.
Student's will build a portfolio of work during term and create a major project at the end of term such as a custom art skateboard, custom-designed t-shirt and other amazing creations.
